Start Here! Change Catalyst Launches Inclusive Tech Hubs Video Series Sponsored by Women Techmakers

With the growing need for inclusion across the world tech hubs are instrumental to empowering innovation and diverse entrepreneurship. But how? Without a playbook to create inclusive cultures or best practices, tech hubs and entrepreneurship communities continue to ask, “Where do I start?” or “How do I create an inclusive culture?”

Based on extensive research and years of experience Melinda Briana Epler and Wayne Sutton, founders of Change Catalyst have partnered with Women Techmakers, Google’s global program supporting women in technology, to launch a six-part video and toolkit series on “Creating Inclusive Tech Hubs.”

The six-part series includes comprehensive PDF toolkits for tech hubs — incubators, community organizations, accelerators and co-working spaces — to download and implement.

The “Creating Inclusive Tech Hubs” six-part series include:

Part 1: Inclusive Tech Hubs: the Key to Future Innovation
Part 2: Measurement & Accountability
Part 3: The Role of Leadership in Diversity and Inclusion
Part 4: Creating An Inclusive Culture
Part 5: Expanding Your Diversity Goals Through External Programs
Part 6: Creating Inclusive Physical Spaces

Part 1: Inclusive Tech Hubs: the Key to Future Innovation

For the tech industry to thrive and create groundbreaking technology that supports the global ecosystem, it is critical to increase the diversity and inclusion of communities that make the technology. To support this global network of tech hubs — incubators, community organizations, accelerators and coworking spaces — Women Techmakers partnered with Change Catalyst to develop an in-depth video series and set of guides on how to build inclusive technology hubs.
