At Tech Inclusion, we celebrate inclusive innovation. So, when it comes to startups we seek out the most diverse and impactful entrepreneurs to showcase at our annual event.
This year ten (10) early stage startups will pitch to judges and investors and showcase their solutions at Tech Inclusion 2016, being held at the Innovation Hangar in San Francisco, October 26–27, 2016. These amazing and diverse startups and entrepreneurs are building new products and services in the following categories:
- EdTech
- FinTech
- PeopleTech (NEW!)

About the Startup Selection Process
In order to qualify for the Tech Inclusion Startup Showcase & Pitch Competition, each startup must have met three out of 4 of the following criteria:
- product/solution must have at least reached beta, and less than 3 yrs old
- founders/founding team should be diverse or woman-led
- startup has received less than $2M in funding
- product/technology addresses diversity, inclusion or exemplifies social entrepreneurship
Startups will be limited to five (5) minutes to pitch their product or solution on the Main Stage at 3pm to a line-up of celebrity judges. Five (5) startups will pitch each day of the conference. They will have the option to include a presentation (maximum 8 slides). Prizes include cash awards, coaching, accelerator interviews, and more.
The Tech Inclusion Startup Showcase will be hosted during Happy Hour, Wednesday, October 26 from 6pm-9pm, hosted by Credit Karma.
Conference & Startup Showcase Details (get a pass!)
Location: Palace of Fine Arts — Innovation Hangar, 3601 Lyon Street, San Francisco, CA 94123
Dates: Wednesday and Thursday, October 26–27, 2016
Conference: 8am-6pm (both days), followed by happy hour from 6pm–9pm
Pitch Competition: 3pm (both days), 5 startups will pitch each day to a panel of 3 judges

Tech Inclusion:
Join us for this inclusive tech event, where you’ll experience inclusive and accessible design, participate in the inclusivity conversation, learn new solutions to diversity and inclusion, meet entrepreneurs and investors, speak with policymakers and educators, and network with inclusive recruiters and other people who care about creating change in the tech ecosystem.
Tech Inclusion 2016 is for the entire tech community: engineers and designers, entrepreneurs and policymakers, university faculty, students, recruiters and corporate executives… of every race, gender, age, ability and geography.
